It is very normal to have ups and downs in our mood. Some days we feel happier and more positive than other days. Our mood can be affected by a whole range of issues such as stress, or how well our close relationships are going. We would expect to feel sad when we have experienced a loss or bereavement or to feel less optimistic when things are not going very well for us. Worrying about things can make us feel very anxious and can sometimes even lead to a sense of fear. Fear can make us avoid certain situations and limit our opportunities and enjoyment of life. The way that others respond when we are low or worried can have a major impact on how we cope with these kinds of troubles.
